RoLo/Community Chest update 2019

Community ChestThe RoLo/Big Warsop Community Chest offers applicants a chance to apply for up to £500 of funding for their community project, group or organisation.

The next round will open in Autumn 2019

In the last round of Community Chest funding a total of £3452.77 was awarded to the following groups:


  • Market Warsop FC  – Funding towards Level 1 coaching course, Coaches starter pack, balls, shirts, shorts and socks
  • Sherwood Street School  – Funding towards a cooker and a fridge for the new nurture unit
  • IAF Princes Trust  – Funding towards tools and consumables for next project, Venue hire cost, PPE and refreshments
  • The Oaklands – Funding towards providing a Christmas Lunch for the lonely people who live in the Warsop Community
  • 1st Warsop Methodist Brownies – Coach expenses to travel to a special pack holiday
  • 1st Warsop Methodist Guides – Coach expenses to travel to the Girl Guides Big Gig
  • Lifespring Parent and Toddler Group – Funding towards equipment for a new parent and toddler group
  • Warsop Detatchment Army Cadet Force – Equipment and Training Aids
  • Friends of Warsop Vale – New outdoor toys for events
  • Hettys – Slatwall shelving for the charity shop
  • Warsop Childrens Centre – Funding for entry and resources to the carnival

The RoLo/Community Chest fund is a joint initiative between Big Warsop and the Rotary Club of Warsop, Shirebrook and District, with grants of up to £500 available to eligible groups and organisations. Since the scheme was launched in 2013, more than £50,000 of funding has been awarded.
