New Big Lottery Fund helps community to celebrate

The Big Lottery Fund has launched a new programme offering grants of between £300 and £10,000 for groups to hold one-off events or activities which celebrate their local communities.

There is a new application process at where you can download a short application form. Once completed, the form should be returned to the Big Lottery Fund with a recent bank statement. The decision making process takes around 10 weeks and successful applicants have one year in which to spend any funding awarded.

There are no application deadlines, but funding will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The programme will close once the budget of £3.875m for England has been allocated.
