An initial course of six pilates classes at The Shed proved so popular with local residents that pilates sessions are now being offered every week on Tuesdays between 10am and 11am.
Pilates provides a full body workout using core muscles to help improve your posture and flexibility. The weekly sessions teach the following principles of pilates:
Breathing – traditional method lateral breathing
Concentration – for your mental awareness
Control – to help your exercise technique
Core Control – foundation of your movement
Precision – awareness of your muscles
Flow – help fluidity and grace
Please note that if you have any medical problems, you should check with your doctor before attending any of the sessions.
