Sitting comfortably?
Big Warsop has awarded £500 of RoLo Community Chest funding to the Warsop Parish Centre for the purchase of new tables and chairs as part of a refurbishment of its vestibule. The Parish Centre is a Grade 2* listed historic building that provides a character venue and a variety of facilities within the community for group and family occasions.
“The vestibule area was looking dated and wasn’t very functional,” said Pat Brewin from the Parish Centre. “We wanted to create a warmer, more comfortable and welcoming area outside the main Tudor Barn and the funding we’ve received from Big Warsop has helped us to do that.”
Before buying the new furniture, the centre asked a focus group to reflect on what kind of chairs would be best suited to the area. Feedback from the group was used to make sure the final choice met the needs of users.
The new look vestibule area has received positive comments from visitors seeing the new furniture for the first time.
