Time for reflection and review

BWReview2Members of the Big Warsop partnership group met at The Shed recently to carry out an interim review of the Big Warsop Plan. They began by considering whether the Big Warsop vision was still relevant and appropriate before moving on to discuss the plan themes and the activities currently being delivered.

The session was led by Big Local Rep, Bill Badham, who encouraged the group to think reflectively about the obstacles they face in terms of changes within the community, local perceptions of Big Local in Warsop, and the way in which the project operates. The discussion then moved on to how specific activities contribute to the Big Warsop vision.

BWReview4The partnership members broke into groups and used a ‘traffic light’ system to assess activities based on what has been accomplished so far, how residents feel about what is being delivered, and whether the activities are sustainable and provide a return on the investment made.

The review was a good starting point and gave the partnership group plenty to reflect on and mull over. The discussions will continue at the next monthly meeting to clarify which activities are working well, identify areas for development, and agree what is needed to maintain momentum for the successful delivery of the plan.

The next Big Warsop meeting will be held on 5 April at 6.15pm in Warsop Town Hall.
